Georgiou Infrastructure's most recent projects are profiled below:

 


Ellenbrook Estate Development
  
  
 
 

Ellenbrook is the largest residential estate in Western Australia which upon completion, will yield 10,500 lots in seven distinct neighbourhoods. Georgiou Group were awarded the civil construction contract by LWP in 1995 for all civil works and continue in 2008 to complete 
earthworks, sewerage and drainage, road works and retaining walls.

Works to date include installation and construction of:

  • annually 50km of PVC pipework
  • 2.7 km of 900mm diameter plastic line reinforced concrete pipes in depths ranging from 2m to 7.5m. This included a delicate crossing of the WAPET high-pressure gas main easement
  • 3km 300mm diameter sewer main
  • 30m two span precast concrete pedestrian bridge


Wungong Stage 1

Pump Station and
Pipeline System 

 

 

The Water Corporation had a tight schedule for the installation of the DN1400 water main which needed to be completed during the shutdown period for Wungong Dam. The remaining installation of the DN1400 water main was installed in existing residential streets which included crossing of numerous services such as high pressure gas, fibre optic, sewer, water, gas and Telstra.

Construction of the main involved installation of:

  • 660m of welded joint DN1400 water main from Wungong Dam to existing tunnel portal, including removal/grouting of existing main and structures
  • 1080m of welded joint DN1400 water main in existing residential streets
  • 3 DN150 scour valves
  • 4 DN150 air valves
  • cathodic protection and voltage mitigation system

Brownell Crescent
Pumping Station and Pipeline System

PPS Partnership is an alliance partnership with the Water Corporation and is charged with the delivery of various sized pumping stations and pipeline projects throughout Western Australia under a 5+2+2 year capital programme.

The work at Brownell Crescent includes the construction of a pumping station and storage tank installation of various pipework including MSCL and the crossing of two roads.

Works involve:

  • earthworks, associated pipework and construction of the new pumping station including an underground storage tank
  • installation of gravity sewers and pressure main
  • fabrication of pipe specials including cut-ins to existing pipework
  • building services and fit out
  • roadworks, drainage, paving and fencing
  • installation of various principal supplied gate valves and air valves
  • testing and commissioning
