Joe Trio is a leading figure in Australia’s construction industry with over 35 years of engineering experience in civil, building, mining, marine and major infrastructure projects.

During his career Joe spent 12 years with Leighton Contractors, four years in the United States with Leighton Holdings and 10 years with Thiess Pty Ltd as their WA Manager. Joe currently consults for a number of companies in the civil engineering industry.

Peter Georgiou
Company Director

Founding Director of Georgiou Group in 1977,  Peter Georgiou has extensive hands on experience in the construction industry. He started his career as a licensed plumber then founded Georgiou Group in 1977, initially as Direct Drainage.

As Company Director, Peter has provided leadership and guidance throughout the company’s 31 year history and is still a daily presence on site.

John Georgiou

John Georgiou has over 20 years of civil engineering experience. He has been CEO of Georgiou Group since 1998 and under his leadership the company has successfully grown and diversified.

John has extensive experience in business development, strategic planning and organisational development and has attended executive management courses at Insead in Singapore and Harvard Business School in Boston.

Lui Giuliani
Non Executive Member

B.Bus (Curtin), CA

Lui Giuliani has widespread experience in business strategy and financial services. He is currently Managing Director and major shareholder in corporate advisory and private equity firm Primewest Capital Pty Ltd.

Prior to this Lui spent nearly 20 years at Ernst & Young, including seven years as Partner, providing tax management and business advisory services for a diverse range of clients.

Mike Connell

M.IR, BA (Politics and Industrial Relations)

Mike is the latest member of the Georgiou Advisory Board having joined in January 2010. His previous experience includes Head of Corporate Services for Ansaldo STS, Executive General Manager Human Resources & Safety for Thiess and General Manager for Wesfarmers.

Mike brings many years of experience in safety, leadership, human resources, industrial relations, business systems and strategic planning.
