In 2007, Georgiou was contracted to manufacture precast concrete segments for the Blue Water Project, a joint venture of John Holland and
Veolia Water, who had been awarded the design and construction of the desalination plant in Sydney.
In 2014, Georgiou delivered a Type 180 Pump Station for Tenix SDR in South Hedland, WA. Scope of work involved the manufacture of a 20 piece wastewater pump station, weighing 864 tonnes. Some 8-metres in length, the pump station took six weeks to manufacture and was
delivered on time and budget.
Georgiou is playing a key role on the Tianqi Lithium Australia Pty Ltd (Tianqi) Lithium Hydroxide Processing Plant Project in Kwinana, after being awarded a $17 million contract by MSP Engineering (MSPE). After a successful Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) process, Georgiou has been awarded the design and construct contract to build Tianqi’s new southern hemisphere headquarters. This is the third contract Georgiou has secured on this project after being awarded the forward works contract in September 2016 and the concrete works contract in early 2017. The value of both these contracts is approximately $15 million.
Georgiou was awarded a second two year term contract with Stockland at Sienna Wood which will see works on the site up to mid-2018. The award of the term contract was achieved off the back of the successful completion of three separate earthworks and 12 civil stages between September 2014 and July 2016.
In November 2016, Georgiou’s Infrastructure unit was awarded the preliminary earthworks package for the Tianqi Lithium project in Kwinana WA, alongside Georgiou’s Building unit who were awarded both the ECI and D&C packages for the site.
