The award marks a significant milestone in delivering Council’s largest road project to date and strengthens Georgiou’s growing footprint across New South Wales’ local government infrastructure sector.
Commencing in January 2026, the Early Works phase will run for six to nine months and focus on critical preparatory activities to enable the smooth transition into main construction. Works include:
- Completion of the final civil design
- Securing utility approvals and investigations
- Site and geotechnical investigations
- Detailed traffic management planning
- At-home noise assessments for nearby properties
- Sewer and drainage works at Orleton Place (subject to EPA approval)

Funded by the Australian Government through the Infrastructure Investment Program, the Dunheved Road Upgrade represents a key investment in the region’s transport network, supporting local growth and community access.
