The RAP was unveiled by CEO Gary Georgiou at a special launch event, bringing together employees, RAP Working Group members and Indigenous partners who have helped shape and support Georgiou’s reconciliation journey.
Reflecting on the launch, Gary said the new RAP builds on more than a decade of action and reinforces Georgiou’s commitment to creating meaningful outcomes through genuine partnership and collaboration.
“Reconciliation is not a destination, but a continuous journey of listening, learning and working together. Our new Stretch RAP reflects our ambition to deepen our impact and continue creating opportunities that benefit communities, businesses and future generations.”
Since becoming one of the first construction companies in Australia to establish a RAP in 2011, Georgiou has remained focused on fostering respectful relationships, supporting Indigenous employment and procurement opportunities, and creating lasting social value across the communities in which it operates.
The RAP 2026-2029 is underpinned by Georgiou’s three pillars of reconciliation:
- Culture
Strengthening understanding, respect and celebration of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories and knowledge.
- Community
Building trusted relationships and creating positive outcomes within the communities where Georgiou lives and works.
- Commercial
Creating sustainable economic opportunities through Indigenous employment, procurement and long-term partnerships.
The event provided an opportunity to recognise the contributions of the RAP Working Group, employees and partners whose passion and commitment continue to strengthen Georgiou’s reconciliation journey.
As Georgiou embarks on the next chapter of its RAP journey, the company remains committed to turning intentions into action and creating lasting impact through strong partnerships, shared success and meaningful engagement.
