This stage of works includes approximately 650 metres of road widening and the construction of a new shared path along sections of Beams Road, stretching from Carselgrove Avenue to just west of the Handford Road intersection.
The purpose of this upgrade is to reduce congestion, improve safety and provide better walking and cycling options for the local community. As the area continues to grow, these works will help support increased traffic volumes and make it easier, and safer for people to move around, whether by car, bike, or on foot.
“This project presents numerous complexities, particularly around working within a highly trafficked corridor and coordinating works around school operations and environmental features such as Cabbage Tree Creek. Our team is focused on delivering high-quality outcomes while maintaining safety and minimising disruption to the community,” said Cameron Bell, Construction Manager
Georgiou is committed to partnering with Brisbane City Council to deliver infrastructure that enhances connectivity, safety and long-term benefits for the community.
