GEORGIOU SECURES $53 MILLION HOLLYWOOD HOSPITAL PROJECT

In early 2020 Georgiou was awarded a $53 million contract by Ramsay Health Care to deliver Hollywood Private Hospital’s South Block and Administration Upgrade, designed by architect Silver Thomas Hanley.
Scope of work includes the design and construction of a new emergency department and three 30-bed wards at their Nedlands campus, including tenancies, expansion of the current radiology unit and associated carpark.
Building General Manager Steve Okill said the award highlights Georgiou’s strong relationship with Ramsay Health Care and their ability to work in a live environment.
“We recently completed the new consulting centre and are finishing works on the new mental health unit at Hollywood Hospital, where our team has showcased their strengths in service integrations and working within the constraints of a live hospital environment,” he said.
“Having delivered a number of medical upgrades over the past decade, we look forward to bringing together our experienced team to deliver another piece of vital medical infrastructure to the Nedlands campus for our client Ramsay Health Care.”
The project will be handed over in stages, with the first set for completion in 2021.
