Last Friday night (June 24), approximately 100 of Georgiou’s subcontractors and suppliers flocked to the WA Office to attend Georgiou Building’s Annual Subcontractor Sundowner.

The annual event recognises excellent subcontractor performance while showing our appreciation for the support of our key subcontractors and suppliers over the past 12 months.

General Manager Building Frank Dilizia gave a brief presentation touching on the Business Unit’s past year, the state of the commercial building market, recently completed and current projects and a list of current tenders and opportunities for Georgiou.

A key message was the importance of maintaining strong relationships with our key subcontractors and suppliers, knowing each other well and leveraging off our respective strengths. Frank also stressed the importance of working collaboratively at the time of tender to develop best value, innovative solutions and ultimately a competitive offer for the Client. Another key theme was working smarter to achieve safer, on time, quality and profitable project delivery.

Importantly, the evening allowed time for informal and enjoyable networking between our guests and Georgiou employees to establish and renew friendships.
