This past weekend was a big one for Georgiou with both The Pocket and Curtin University Building 410 winning big at various industry awards celebrations.

On Friday night, The Pocket Claremont – a Georgiou building project for internal client Georgiou Developments – took out the Harold Krantz Award for Residential Architecture – Multiple Housing category in the 2017 WA Architecture Awards. These awards showcase the rich and unique outcomes that can come from clever design – no matter what the budget, site, or location of the project.

On Saturday night, Georgiou backed it up taking home the 2017 WA Australian Institute of Building (AIB) Professional Excellence Award in the Commercial Construction ($25m-$100m) category for our Curtin Building 410 Project. Additionally, The Pocket Claremont wasn’t finished, picking up a high commendation in the Residential Construction ($25m-$100m) category.

The AIB Awards are unique as they are the only Australian awards that recognise the professional excellence of individual’s in the building and construction process, as opposed to the project or completed structure. These awards are about how it was built, not what was built.

A huge congratulations to our Building Business Unit and Georgiou Developments team on this incredible achievement.
