GEORGIOU SECURES HOLLYWOOD HOSPITAL EXPANSION

Georgiou has been awarded the contract to build Hollywood Private Hospital’s new medical facilities and cancer centre for Ramsay Health Care in WA.

Scope of works includes the design and construction of a new consulting centre and gastroenterology unit at their Nedlands premises, including radiation oncology bunkers.

General Manager Building Steve Okill said the award comes after three months of work under an Early Contractor Involvement arrangement with Ramsay.

“We are seeing more technically challenging design and construction projects being delivered under an ECI arrangement. This is where our strength lies – in working with our clients to deliver complex projects, in this case a new medical facility with a high level of services integration within the constraints of the Hospital’s existing operations,” he said.

“We bring a strong team with proven medical expertise to the project and look forward to building on our relationship with Ramsay to deliver another piece of vital medical infrastructure to the local community.”

Early works have recently commenced, with the main works to start in early 2019 and the new medical centre set to open in early 2020.
