Foreman Clifford Dawson has been recognised as Australia’s best trainee in the Certificate IV category at the National CCF Awards ceremony, held in Canberra recently.
It’s been a big year for the foreman, after taking out the WA award for this category in February.
The distinguished award is handed to the trainee who shows excellence in skills, knowledge, attitude and progression throughout their training. Clifford excelled in all categories and has been identified by Georgiou as an employee who shows brilliant leadership skills.
“During Cliff’s time with Georgiou, he has displayed the ability to become a great leader. No matter how busy he is, he will always make time to work with the site staff to develop them to their full potential. He is well respected by his entire team, management and external contractors,” said Learning and Development Manager Jason Stern.
It was a double win for Georgiou at the National awards, with our Gateway WA project taking out the prestigious National CCF Earth Awards Category 6 – Over $75 million category.
“To be recognised as a national leader in civil infrastructure is massive win for Georgiou and the Alliance,” said Operations Manager Peter Hopfmueller who was at the ceremony.
“This truly places us among the best contractors in Australia and is definitely an award the whole organisation can be proud of.”
