Project Introduction
Georgiou has completed the bulk earthworks contract for Rio Tinto on Mesa H as part of their Robe Valley Sustaining Project.
Scope of works involved clearing and stripping, more than 1.3 million cubic metres of bulk earthworks, drill and blast, 9km of roadworks and culvert works.
Works – which employed 100 at peak – started in September 2020 and were completed in mid-2021.
Georgiou has delivered a number of earthworks projects for Rio Tinto including the TSF3 and TSF4 Tailings Dams on Rio Tinto’s Mesa J project.
