GEORGIOU ALLIANCE TO DELIVER BURNETT RIVER REPLACEMENT DAM PROJECT

Georgiou, with CPB Contractors will form an alliance with Sunwater and design partner GHD to deliver a new dam wall, downstream of Paradise Dam near Bundaberg, Queensland.

Scope of work involves construction of a replacement dam wall on the Burnett River to return it to its full height and original capacity.

Georgiou is currently delivering the $494 million M12 Motorway (West) Project with CPB Contractors in New South Wales.

Chief Executive Officer Gary Georgiou said, “Our partnership with CPB brings proven expertise and experience working as an integrated team – this is critical to effectively delivering such a significant project and ensuring a solution that supports ongoing water security for the community.”

“The replacement dam wall is an integral piece of infrastructure for the resilience of surrounding communities. Additionally, the Alliance will generate opportunities and aim to maximise employment and economic outcomes for local residents and suppliers.”

Design work and program planning is currently underway. Through this process, project costs and delivery timeframes will be confirmed.
