NSW Environmental Protection Licences
The NSW Protection of the Environment Operation Act 1997 requires holders of Environment Protection Licences (EPLs) to make pollution monitoring data required by the EPL publicly available. In addition, parts of the Pollution Incident Response Management Plan associated with the Environment Protection Licence (EPL) must be made publically available. These parts are outlined in the POEO Act under section 153C(a) and clause 98C(1)(h) and (i) or (2)(b) and (c).
The proposed upgrade involves widening of about 3.2 km of Mona Vale Road between Manor Road / Lane Cove Road, Ingleside and Foley Street, Mona Vale. The upgrade would be from a two lane (one in each direction) undivided road to a four lane (two lanes in each direction) divided road. A component of the works requires the placement of virgin excavated natural material (VENM) spoil excavated from the Mona Vale Road East construction site, within a specific area of future Mona Vale Road West upgrade area. Georgiou holds EPL 21037 for road construction and land based extractive activities.

Pollution Incident Response Management Plan
The proposed project is to build a new 10.5 kilometre bypass of the Newell Highway. The Parkes Bypass will divert heavy vehicle traffic out of the Parkes town centre. It would be located about 1.5 to two kilometres west of the existing Newell Highway and would generally include one lane in each direction. The Parkes Bypass would depart from the existing Newell Highway to the south of Barkers Road and will re-join the highway to the north of Parkes near Maguire Road. Georgiou holds an Environment Protection Licence EPL 21473 for road construction 10km – 30km with the excavation of more than 50,000 tonnes of material.

Pollution Incident Response Management Plan
The project involves the upgrade of about 2 km of the New England Highway (HW9) at Bolivia Hill (the proposal), primarily to improve road safety. The proposal includes building a bridge about 320 m long, and widening the road reserve to straighten out bends in the steepest section of the highway. Georgiou was transferred the EPL 21066 from RMS on the 12 October 2018. Condition M2 of the EPL requires Georgiou to monitor the concentration of total suspended solids, pH and visible oil and grease in waters discharged from sediment basins on the premises.
