Turning Recognition into Real Impact
After being named Georgiou’s Inaugural Annual Indigenous Project of the Year in late 2025, the Hexham Straight Widening Alliance team ensured the recognition translated into tangible action aligned with Georgiou’s Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) commitments by donating the $1,000 award prize money to their chosen Aboriginal organisation, the Literacy for Life Foundation.
