Georgiou Group has today announced the appointment of Rob Monaci as its new CEO, effective 1st August 2018.

Georgiou Group has today announced the appointment of Rob Monaci as its new CEO, effective 1st August 2018.

Rob has been a key member of Georgiou’s leadership team and has successfully led the NSW business since 2014. He will take over from inaugural CEO John Georgiou, who has led the company with distinction for 20 years, growing Georgiou from a $50 million WA company to a $600 million National company.

John Georgiou will move into the Chairman role on the company’s Board and replace Gerhard Vorster who will remain on the Board.

Gary Georgiou, Executive General Manager, will now oversee both Queensland and NSW businesses.

“Rob is an exceptional leader. In the past two years he has led our growth in NSW and established the Georgiou brand in the transport sector within the state,” said John Georgiou.

Georgiou is in great shape and has a very solid base on which to build and I look forward to continuing to tap John’s knowledge and experience as Chairman,” said Rob Monaci.

Biography: Rob Monaci

Rob Monaci is a highly respected executive with extensive business experience across a broad range of industries and organisations. With more than 30 years of engineering and construction experience to the company and has built his career on a practical approach to project management and a strong customer focus.

Rob Monaci joined Georgiou in 2014 as an Executive General Manager responsible for establishing and growing a presence for Georgiou in the civil engineering market in New South Wales.

Previously with John Holland Pty Ltd as the General Manager, Mr Monaci has also held senior leadership roles with Thiess and BIS Industrial Logistics.

Qualifications:

BE (CIVIL), Fellow of the Institution of Engineers Australia (FIEAUST), Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) and ENGEXEC.
