National building and civil construction company Georgiou Group is delighted to announce the appointment of Courtney Scott as National People & Capability Manager, leading the Human Resources, Learning & Development and People Systems teams.

Effective 1 September, Courtney will join Georgiou Group’s Leadership Team, positioning people and culture at the heart of the organisation’s national strategy. Georgiou’s People Strategy prioritises the cultivation of a positive and inclusive workplace culture, whilst developing and optimising the Georgiou workforce to drive success and sustainable growth.

Courtney joined Georgiou Group in 2018. Originally from Western Australia, Courtney has brought valuable experience from the mining and oil and gas industries. Over the last 5 years, she has led Georgiou’s Eastern Region People & Capability teams – spearheading several initiatives that support the company’s vision to be ‘the best people to work with,’ and playing a key role in maintaining a strong company culture through a significant growth period.

Chief Executive Officer Gary Georgiou said, “Courtney has a genuine care for the wellbeing and development of our people. She is consistently seeking opportunities to improve the business and serves as a driving force behind positive change to employee policies and benefits.”

“Our people are our most important asset and one of our key areas of focus. Ensuring we have a sustainable and consistent approach to ensure that our people are happy, and we’re known as the best people to work with is integral, and Courtney is the perfect person to lead this,” he explains.
