National building and civil construction company Georgiou Group is working with APS Pty Ltd to deliver precast elements for the $1B Armadale level crossing removal.

In late 2021, the Armadale Line Upgrade Alliance (ALUA) was selected to remove the level crossings along the Armadale Line with the Alliance awarding the precast manufacture awarded to APS Pty Ltd.

“APS will work with Georgiou Precast in our Hazelmere facility to deliver the precast components, leveraging the Georgiou team’s experience in the delivery of this project,” said Georgiou Chairman John Georgiou.

“Over the past five years, Georgiou’s precast team has built a reputation for delivering some of WA’s largest, and most complex, bridge and precast components for State infrastructure projects so it was a natural fit to align with APS on this project.

“We are excited to work with APS and assist the ALUA consortium to deliver another major METRONET project.”

Manufacturing will start in September 2022 and be completed by December 2023.

The ALUA Alliance consists of Acciona Construction Australia Pty Ltd, BMD Construction Pty Ltd, WSP Australia Pty Ltd and AECOM Australia Pty Ltd.
