Following our 2015 CCF WA Earth Award for the $25.5M Three Bridges Project, Georgiou is looking to repeat its success after recently being named finalist with three projects in this year’s awards.

The CCF WA Earth Awards recognise excellence in all areas of project delivery including construction management, innovation, and environmental and social management. Stage three of the Claremont on the Park project will look to take out the $10-$30 million category, with the Reid Highway Upgrade Project vying for the title in the $30-$75 million category, and the Gateway WA Perth Airport and Freight Access Project a finalist in the over $75 million category.

Stage three of Claremont in the Park saw our team work through a number of complex disciplines – including remediation, demolition, installation, roadworks, hardscaping and landscaping. The final product is a modern community, featuring residential and commercial spaces with abstract art and stunning water features.

The Reid Highway Project involved the duplication of 2.2km of carriageway and a further 2km of carriageway widening, three new bridges, a loop ramp and associated works. Vital to the WA Government’s plan to improve traffic congestion in Perth’s eastern suburbs, our project team shared the road with 75,000 cars who frequented the Reid Highway/Malaga Drive intersection each day.

As part of the Gateway WA Perth Airport and Freight Access Project – Georgiou were involved in the widening of 7km of the Tonkin Hwy, upgrading 3km of Leach Hwy, constructing 11 bridges, the upgrade and construction of multiple interchanges, building 21km of shared path and local connections including seven underpasses, installing 7km of noise walls, and planting more than one million plants as part of Main Roads’ largest landscaping project.

Winners will be announced on Friday August 12 in the Grand Ballroom at Crown Perth.
