MANDURAH BRIDGE SUCCESS CONTINUES

The Mandurah Bridge Replacement Project, valued at $51.8 million, and delivered by Georgiou Group in March 2018 continues to secure industry awards – four years on from construction.

The Mandurah Bridge Replacement Project, valued at $51.8 million, and delivered by Georgiou Group in March 2018 continues to secure industry awards – four years on from construction.

Awarded by Main Roads WA, scope of works included the decommissioning of the existing bridge and the design and construction of a new bridge over the Mandurah Estuary, including associated roadworks, public amenities and infrastructure. The bridge improved vehicular capacity with two traffic lanes in each direction and safety for pedestrians and cyclists with separate, wider facilities over the bridge.

To date, the project has picked up the following coveted awards:

  • 2022 Winner of Austroads Bridge Awards – Category: Best Structure over 35 metres
  • 2019 High Commendation at Australian Institute of Building Professional Excellence in Building Award (National) – Best Project
  •  2019 Winner of the Concrete Institute of Australia Awards (National) – Infrastructure
  • 2019 Winner of Master Builders Australia Excellence in Construction Award (WA) – Best Project
  •  2019 Winner of Master Builders Australia Excellence in Construction Award (WA) – Best Civil Engineering Works $20-$50 million
