Georgiou Group is delivering the $80 million refurbishment and office fitout of the former Midland Square Building for Georgiou Capital.
Located in the heart of the Midland CBD, the project involves the comprehensive refurbishment of the existing centre and north buildings into two separately accessed buildings, along with construction of the internal tenancy fitout of around 14,000 square metres of office space.
Scope of refurbishment works includes extensive modernisation and replacement of the building’s services, replacement of all façade and glazing elements, creation of improved occupant amenities including end-of-trip facilities, better functionality and connectivity of internal workspaces, and a range of external building modifications to create a contemporary look and feel for the building.
The refurbishment will also include the installation of new modern plant and equipment and other sustainability initiatives, which will improve operational efficiency and are expected to see the base building’s energy rating achieve 4.5 Star NABERS or better.
Once complete, 1 Midland Square will accommodate staff from the Department of Communities, Child and Adolescent Health Service and Landgate to create a modern workspace for over 850 public servants across three State Government agencies.
