The project, completed in July 2016, involved upgrading the existing Davis and Sayers Road Intersection Upgrade at Tarneit in Victoria.
Works on the Davis and Sayers Road Intersection Upgrade included:
- construction of a roundabout;
- widened and additional turning lanes;
- installation of under-road culverts for drainage and frog crossings; and
- landscaping and footpath construction.
Key challenges in the delivery of the project included working in close proximity to other contractors, management of local residents and stakeholders, complex construction staging and traffic management. The project team worked collaboratively with client Stockland and the local council to develop efficient and practical solutions to the construction staging, minimising impact on traffic and ensuring no delays to the program.
Georgiou also made it a priority to engage with residents and adjacent development stakeholders to fully understand their needs and expectations, mitigating the risk of disruption to works.
