Georgiou delivered the East End Revitalisation project for client, City of Perth, with the aim to improve the environment, character, and quality of the East End precinct through revitalisation of the streetscape in Hay, Pier, and Irwin Streets.

The project involved a major upgrade of Hay Street, Pier Street and Irwin Street with the construction of a new public plaza space and public artwork, widening of footpaths, upgraded lighting and the installation of attractive outdoor features such as outdoor dining, street trees and street furniture so visitors, residents, and workers can dwell, eat and shop with comfort!

As part of the project, the team also upgraded all underground services and completed a full road and verge reconstruction with granite paving.

During the construction of the project, original granite cobblestones (dating back to the early 1920s) and original Jarrah timber blocks (commonly used to pave streets) were uncovered on Pier Street, providing an insight into some of Perth’s heritage.
