GREENBUSHES CONCRETE WORKS

In August 2017, Georgiou was awarded the Greenbushes Concrete Works package for Talison Lithium Plant Upgrade at their landmark Greenbushes site in WA for client MSP Engineering (MSPE).

The Greenbushes Concrete Works package included the placement of circa 11,000m ³ of concrete associated with the crushing and processing plant and related infrastructure.

The Greenbushes project was commissioned in response to the growing demand for lithium oxide concentrates as key feedstock for the manufacture of lithium ion batteries used for electric vehicles, battery storage and consumer electronics.

Talison Lithium’s lithium mining and processing operation is located directly south and adjacent to the town of Greenbushes in Western Australia. It is approximately 250 kilometres south of Perth and Fremantle, a major container shipping port, and 90 kilometres south east of the port of Bunbury, a major bulk handling port, in the south-west of Western Australia.
