In 2014, Georgiou was awarded the contract to manufacture the Hope Downs Reclaim Tunnel for client, Reinforced Earth.
In January 2015, Georgiou delivered 200 reclaim tunnel segments, each weighing 10 tonne.
In total, the team poured more than 4,900m3 of concrete to manufacture the items weighing a total of 2,000 tonne.
All components of the Hope Downs Reclaim Tunnel were manufactured in Georgiou’s Precast Facility.
The Hope Downs mine is an iron ore mine located in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, 100km northwest of Newman.
