WELLINGTON STREET / PANORAMA DRIVE ROAD UPGRADE PROGRAM (STAGE 1)

Georgiou is currently delivering the $42.7 million Stage 1 contract to upgrade Wellington Street / Panorama Drive for client, Redland City Council.

The project involves upgrading a 2.3 km section of Panorama Drive / Wellington Street between Boundary Road and South Street from 2-lanes to 4-lanes, as well as intersection upgrades at Ziegenfusz Road and Panorama Drive / Wellington Street.

Scope of works includes:

• Public utility relocations (power, water, communications);
• Drainage upgrade works;
• New and improved pavements;
• New and improved footpaths and street lighting; and
• Landscaping and rehabilitation.

Works commenced in March 2023, with expected completion set for 2024.

Once complete, the works will provide greater road capacity and safety benefits to road users.
