Georgiou Group, in 50:50 joint venture with CPB Contractors, has commenced construction on the M12 Motorway (west) project with a sod turning ceremony attended by NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet and Minister for Metropolitan Roads Natalie Ward.

NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet said the event marked a milestone in delivery of what will be a significant piece of infrastructure for Western Sydney.

“After almost seven years of planning and preparation work, major construction is now underway on this critical new road link in Western Sydney,” Mr Perrottet said.

Being delivered for repeat client, Transport for NSW, this project will see Georgiou continue to develop their capability following the recent successful completion of two projects for the client in Western Sydney.

Valued at $494 million, the project will see the construction of a 6km dual carriage way, 11 bridges, and a grade-separated interchange connected with the Western Sydney Airport. This project will reduce travel times and increase safety for motorists.

The M12 Motorway (west) project is a key aspect of the Western Sydney Infrastructure Plan, a joint initiative from the Australian and NSW governments.
