Georgiou delivered the Joondalup Multi-Storey Carpark on Boas Avenue for the City of Joondalup in April 2016.
Scope of works for the Joondalup Multi-Storey Carpark included the construction of a lower ground carpark for 28 private bays, along with five levels providing 560 bays for public parking.
The carpark structure was based upon a post-tensioned floor slab on a constant grade, supported on piled pad footings.
The external façade featured architectural grade coloured precast concrete panels with a stencilled imprint representing an aerial view of Lake Joondalup and surrounds. Feature aluminium panels and louvres enhanced the aesthetics and concealed the use of the building as a multi-storey carpark. Won from a competitive field of major builders, Georgiou offered the client the best value, methodology, programme and people, backed by solid financials.
The team worked closely with the client throughout the project to ensure no delays to the construction programme. Strong stakeholder relations were required to ensure no traffic disruptions to visitors and Joondalup locals during construction.
