Georgiou has taken out the coveted WA 2019 Best Project award at the Master Builders Excellence in Construction Awards (WA) at the weekend.

The $51.8 million Mandurah Bridge Replacement Project (for Main Roads WA) secured the Best Civil Engineering Works category ($20-$50 million) before being named Best Project – bringing home its seventh industry award in as many months.

The bridge wasn’t the only winner on the night, with Georgiou also securing awards in the best retail and office categories with wins for DFO Perth (Best Retail Building $50-$100 million) and the Prime House Office Development (Best Office Building $20-$50 million).

Chief Executive Officer Rob Monaci said the company was thrilled to secure three awards and Best Project from the Association.

“Since establishing our building business in 2008, we have entered the Master Builders Association Excellence in Construction Awards and while we have had some success over the years, this year was by far our best,” he explains.

“To be named Best Project is a tremendous achievement for our project team and the company as a whole. We’re fortunate enough to work on some incredible projects that shape the WA community and all three teams have played a large role in our success.

“Looking at previous winners of the Best Project, we are in very good company.”

All three projects – Mandurah Bridge Replacement, DFO Perth and Prime House will now go into the National MBA Awards which will be held in Uluru in November.
